Green On The Hudson
The city as a surface that keeps overwriting itself. Mass image and private mark compete for the same wall · meaning accumulates, overlaps, and refuses to settle.
A mixed media work exploring urban surface, memory, and visual layering.
Fragments of graphic and comic imagery are embedded within a broader field of gestural marks and structural elements, creating a dialogue between mass-produced imagery and personal mark-making. These elements are partially obscured and reworked, allowing traces of narrative to emerge without resolving into a fixed meaning.
The composition reflects the experience of a city as a layered environment · where visual information accumulates, overlaps, and fades over time.
The result is a work that balances texture and structure, inviting the viewer to move between surface detail and overall composition.
Executed in mixed media on canvas.
